22nd AIKF NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP TWO GOLD MEDALS FOR KERALA
Haritha Manoharan, Kerala, bagged Gold Medal in Kumite(12-13 age group - girls) at the 22nd National Karate Championship held at Jharkhand from 21st to 24th September 2008.
Ms Akshitha G Rao of Ernakulam, another Gold Medal winner in the Tournament, was the top-scorer in Kata (14-15 age group - girls).
13-member Team from Kerala was lead by Sensei P. Ameer(Team Coach), Shihan P.P. Hemanth Kumar and Mrs Roja Manoharan (both Team Managers). Renshi.V.A. Nazeer was the official from Kerala. Shihan K.V. Manoharan, President, All Kerala Karate Association,(AKKA) was present throughout the Championship.
Haritha Manoharan got Gold Medal in the 22nd AIKF National Karate Championship held in Jharkhand from 21st to 24th September 2008. She has contested in Kumite with many girls of 12-13 age group.
Haritha, who is the daughter of Shihan K.V. Manoharan and Roja, is now studying in VIIth Standard of St. Teresa’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, Kannur. Her brother, Rohit, was placed in 2nd position in the World Youth Karate Championship held in Okinawa in 2006.
Ms Akshitha G. Rao was the Gold Medal winner in Kata (14-15 age group) at the AIKF National Karate Championship held in Jharkhand on 21-24 September 2008.
Akshitha is the daughter of K. Ganesha Rao and Jayalakshmi Rao (Ernakulam) she is at present studying inVIII Standard of Bhavan’s Adharsa Vidhyala Kakkanad.
